First Graduation Photo Shoot. . .

This is my cousin. Out of 10 grandchildren I'm the third oldest, and he's the third youngest. He is extremely bright, UCLA bound, a star basketball player (seriously talented), and he loves shoes! Hence the second to last photo. . .Brand new pair for his photo shoot. He was so cooperative, and of course he's a great looking kid, so this shoot was super fun. Thanks K.

Happy 7 Months Addi-boo!

I think I'm gettin' the hang of it. . .

See, I got it.

Wow, I'm doing it?!

LOOK MOM, I'm doing it!!!

Uh oh. . .spoke to soon.

Mom, you know I hate being on my tummy. Don't worry, I'll learn how to crawl, somehow, some way.

I love you Addi-boo!!! I can hardly believe you're already 7 months. You are loving peas (of course, because you are a sweetpea!) and all your other veggies. You're not as fond of the sweet stuff like applesauce or peaches, but you'll eat 'em. Today you ate one whole serving of carrots, and one whole serving of peas, mixed with oatmeal in one sitting!!!! You tried puffs for the first time, and like Gracyn, you are a big fan of 'em. You squirm when I change your diaper now, and you are constantly reaching for stuff! You still hold my nose when you're trying to fall back asleep. (Shh, don't tell anyone, but I like my nose being held. . .your little hand always smells so sweet!)

WOW - I did it!!! TWO POSTS in ONE NIGHT. Guess when you stay up until almost midnight you can get something accomplished. I've been crawling into bed at Addi's bed time, and then going to sleep early. I'm going to pay for it tomorrow!

Tubing Tobogganning - What's the Diff?!

Resort Reschmort. . .We tried to go tubing but the tickets were all sold out. We've been telling the kids for months, we'll go tubing.

So we headed to Ace Hardware, bought us some toboggans. . .

And had a BLAST. . .

For FREE (well, minus the cost of the toboggans!)

C'mon Mom! Who needs a chair lift?! (Me: Ummm. . .I wouldn't mind one.)

Forget it, we'll meet you up there. . .

I finally made it up the hill - Girl power!!!

Wow, that was pretty fun if I do say so myself! But one run is good, thanks!

I love this shot because my BIG boy seems so small. . .

It was worth the climb. . .

Now I'm high enough to gain some speed, which direction should I head down?!

Peyton - don't go that way, go this way!

This is what I call fun. . .

Go GRACYN!

Now look at that smile!!

Must I really wear this hat?!

Peyton - WAIT - Just one picture of you with your sister PLEASE!

I really do like this. . .even if I do have to wear the hat.

Mom, help. Me: You can do it. . .

What she was thinking - No, really Mom. . .my foot is stuck, really.

And where was the baby, you ask? In the other toboggan of course. . .chillin' (literally) in the snow.

Moving her legs to see if she could get the thing to move! Next year Addi, we promise!!!

And that concludes the story of our first tubing tobogganning fun!

What's so special about November 9th, 2012?

Well, 133 days = 2 years, 7 months. . .doesn't that make perfect sense?

So, some of you may know, and some may not, but we are still have a LID for China of 8/28/06. (Side Note: Gracyn's birthday is 3 days before our LID and on one of her documents it was actually listed as the 28th)

I used this predictor tool, and apparently based on the number of LIDs, there are 133 days ahead of us, which should mean we could expect a referral of Morgan on November 9th of 2012. Well, that's as of April 5th, so this is a moving target.

When we started our adoption journey Peyton had just turned 1, I had just turned 30, so we barely qualified to apply. No he's about to start kindergarten and has 2 sisters!

Calling all you Prayer Warriors - Please pray that DH's heart will open to allow just one more sweet pea into our family. Please pray that we would be still, and hear what He wants us to do with this journey. Do we consider the many children who are waiting for families? Do we wait for the matching room magic that everyone dreams about? We certainly still experience ladybug sightings and they mean just as much as the first. . .This sighting was from February 3rd. She actually stuck around for a while!

In many ways two years doesn't seem that long of a wait, especially when you have three kiddos at home. In other ways, to think that it could take over 6 years to complete an adoption sounds over the top. Please share with me. Share your thoughts on our journey. . .what would you do? What advice do you have to give? This has been on my heart and in my prayers. It was about time I posted because you bloggy pals know this stuff better than anyone. You know what I'm going through, you've been there, done that, made decisions, hard ones, easy ones, changed paths, walked down two paths, researched the web, changed countries, brought home older children instead of infants. . .I'm all ears. . .my heart is open wide to hear what you have to share! Thank you for your prayers and your support.

Morgan's memory box still waits in her room, her pillow case embroidered with her name is ready for a sleepy head, her stocking matches the other kids' and awaits to be filled, clothes hang in the closet that Addi will now get to wear first but will be saved for her. The journey to Morgan brought us to Gracyn and to Addi, and now we wait to see if He will bring her home to us.

They're pretty cute, huh? Exhausting though! (I'm referring to the kids not the pictures!)

Knowing we probably wouldn't have time on Easter morning to take pictures, I attempted to get just ONE decent shot. . .I failed.

And then of course, we need the "EARS" shots. . .and mind you these were taken on different days too!

Since Peyton didn't have any ears of his own, I tried to reverse them and make them "white" instead of pink. He had Addi's attention for sure!

Sister shot since brother took off. . .who cares, he was wearing his PJ's.

These really are from Easter. I can't believe I got Gracyn to wear a DRESS! Purple, her favorite color. . .and the photos, they cost me several jelly beans.

The only child who got an "Easter Shoot" and didn't cost me a single jelly bean!

Look at my baby's teeth!!! (Thanks Daddy for making me laugh!)

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter! I haven't had a chance to even get the Easter Egg Hunt Pictures onto my computer, but I decided if I don't post this now, it'll be Halloween before I do. So this is all I've got for now!!!
